1931 Ford Model A Roadster Pickup By Boyd Coddington
Boyd Coddington Garage built this 1931 Ford Model A Roadster pickup for White Cap Construction on a 5-month restoration project. The entire build was featured on the Discovery Channel TV series American Hot Rod in 2006. The body is an all steel Brookeville Body, including widened rear fenders, filled cowl and a custom windshield. The 3-piece aluminum hood was handmade by the metal master’s Marcell and Son’s. The grille is a Dan Fink 1932-grille shell finished in Boyd red. The truck rides on a Boyd Coddington Pro Ride Chassis, independent rear end 5” drop axle front end 4 wheel disc brakes. Most of the front and rear suspension components are billet aluminum and chrome. The wheels are Boyd Coddington wheels, 15” Double 5’s front and 17” Double 5’s rear. The red interior is a custom stitch by Gabe Lopez. Inside the cockpit you’ll find a Boyd Coddington custom steering wheel and the trademark Boyd billet dash insert with custom gauges by Classic Instruments. The roadster is powered by a 350ci Chevrolet Ram Jet crate engine and in sync with 700R4 automatic transmission.
