“THE TOGSTER” A 1940 FORD CUSTOM WOODY
This all steel Boyd Coddington built 1940 Ford custom woody was built for Thom Gephart in 2000. A balanced and blueprinted LT1 350 sits within a custom firewall and engine compartment that’s been smoothed and color-matched with Polished billet aluminum accessories throughout. The LT1 is coupled to a Turbo 350 automatic transmission. The 1940 Woody body is chopped, has hand-formed running boards, custom taillights, smoothed hood, hand-fabricated rolled rear pan, kustom Mercedes canvas top, smoothed front & rear bumpers and custom DuPont Boyd Yellow paint by Keith Russell.
It’s outfitted with, power disc brakes, power steering and Vintage Air air conditioning. Converted to a two door with Birdseye Maple custom. The chassis is a Boyd Coddington custom pro-ride built chassis, color-matched and fully boxed with a custom fabricated independent front and rear suspension, Wilwood brakes, polished calipers, stainless steel brake and fuel lines run throughout, as do stainless steel bolts and fasteners.
Interior is handcrafted leather and tweed upholstery with Birdseye Maple headliner treatment. In the cockpit you will find a kustom built billet gauge panel and chrome-accented dash with VDO night design instruments. The stereo system is a high-end Pioneer sound system.
