1951 MERCURY CUSTOM 2 DOOR COUPE
Designed and manufactured by Boyd Coddington, this smooth, subtly chopped and sectioned Mercury custom is an early Boyd Coddington design built at Hot Rods By Boyd, and by the original Boyd Coddington crew.
The design features amazing lines with smooth proportions and flow. The lights are frenched front and rear while the headlights retain narrow bright bezels. The chrome is perfect as are all gaps. Started in 1993, total build time to complete was three years. The one-off billet Smoothie wheels and the monotone leather interior stitched by Gabe Lopez complements the overall clean look. After the build was completed, it won the esteemed Harry Bradley Design Award. The 502/502hp motor, air-conditioning, custom dash and Alpine Stereo give it a modern a modern look and performance.
